Oui et non. C'est un GPS pour le vélo. Il te dit où tu es, combien tu vas vite, les calories brûlées... la base, quoi. "Révolutionnaire" ? Euh... Disons que c'est un bon compagnon, surtout pour le prix. J'étais sur le point de l'envoyer valser quand j'ai galéré à configurer l'appli (on y reviendra...), mais au final, il s'est racheté. Enfin, presque.
2. L'installation, c'est galère ? (Parce que moi et la technologie...)
Allez, soyons honnêtes. Oui et non. Le support sur le guidon... facile, un jeu d'enfant. L'attacher, le détacher, impeccable. Le connecter à ton vélo... ça dépend. L'autonomie... C'est bon, mais pas miraculeux. Ils annoncent je ne sais combien d'heures, mais en pratique, avec le rétroéclairage à fond et le GPS toujours activé, j'ai constaté... allez, une bonne dizaine d'heures. Sur une rando de 12 heures, j'ai dû le recharger en cours de route (heureusement, j'avais une power bank). Donc, si vous êtes du genre à faire des ultras, préparez une batterie externe (ou un autre GPS !). L'autonomie est OK, mais pas exceptionnelle. La recharge est rapide, c'est déjà ça.

La fiabilité... globalement, oui. La vitesse, la distance, l'altitude... ça colle. J'ai comparé avec d'autres GPS, et c'est plutôt précis. Mais, petit détail : Une fois, j'étais en forêt, et il a un peu "patiné". Il m'a envoyé dans les nuages pendant quelques secondes (bon, ok, c'était pas vraiment les nuages, mais on aurait dit !). Mais globalement, il est fiable. Il fait son taf. Il ne vous ment pas sur vos performances, ce qui est important. Ah... l'appli XOSS... Ouh là... c'est une relation "amour-haine", croyez-moi. Au début, c'était la galère. Synchronisation foireuse, interface pas toujours intuitive, bug occasionnels... J'ai failli jeter mon téléphone par la fenêtre. Sérieusement. J'étais à deux doigts de renvoyer le GPS (et de tout abandonner à la technologie, d'ailleurs). Mais, après quelques mises à jour (ouf !), ça s'est amélioré. C'est plus stable, les données se synchronisent plus facilement. L'interface reste perfectible, mais on s'y fait. On peut analyser ses sorties, voir ses progrès (ou pas, ça dépend de l'entraînement...). C'est quand même nécessaire, donc faut faire avec. Je donnerais un 7/10, parce qu'ils ont fait des efforts. Mais qu'ils continuent, hein ! Et qu'ils arrêtent les traductions approximatives !
7. Il fait quoi d'autre, ce truc ? (Genre, il me fait le café ? )
Il ne vous fait pas le café (dommage !). Mais il donne des indications sur les virages (un peu). Il se connecte à des capteurs (cadence, fréquence cardiaque... si vous en avez). Il enregistre vos données. Il vous montre, en gros, où vous avez pédalé. Pas de fonctions extraordinaires, mais c'est suffisant pour la plupart des cyclistes amateurs. Il fait le job. Et c'est déjà pas mal. Il n'est pas un "coach" vélo, mais il est un bon copain pour vos sorties.
8. Le prix, il vaut le coup ? (Parce que le budget, hein...)
